So obviously there are lots of things you have to get good at in order to run a successful business right?

Managing a team, Hiring the right people, Time management, Book keeping, Accounting, Asset allocation etc. Just to name a few.

But when it comes to actually promoting your business there are really only 3 consistent actions you need to take.

1.) Sharpen The Saw 

Abraham Lincoln was quoted to say that “If I had 4 hours to chop down a tree I would spend the first 3 hours sharpening the saw.” And Jim Rohn, in all his infinite wisdom said, “for things to change, we have to change. For things to get better, we have to get better.

No matter how successful you are, there is always more to learn, another mountain to climb and new skills to hone or develop. Personal development is to the mind what showering is to the body. Doing it every once in a while just doesn’t cut it. Commit to personal and professional development DAILY.

2.) Fill the Pipeline 

Dan Kennedy, the best selling author of a ton of great books including “The Ultimate Sales Letter” and “Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs” said that one of his keys to success is that every day he does at least one thing to “fill the pipeline.” This means that every single day he does something to open a door in his business to a new prospect.

So what does “filling the pipeline” look like for you and your business? Is it creating a new ad or Facebook marketing campaign? Is it meeting a prospect at a networking event and giving him a business card? Is it connecting with your new followers on Facebook or your favorite social media site? Whatever it is for you, and its probably a combination of multiple things, just make sure to do it daily to ensure your success.

3.) Follow Up [Like a BOSS] 

I recently read that while a whopping 80% of sales are made on the 5th to twelfth follow up…

ONLY 10% of marketers and sales professionals make more than 3 follow up attempts

And 48% NEVER follow up with prospects
